Ut’s lovely to meet you.

I started out as a self-published author.

As a self-published author, I was fortunate to sell thousands of copies of my very first collection, The She Book (never thought that would happen).

I then took the time to learn how to prepare a book proposal that would get seen—and my effort was worth it! I became a published author with Andrews McMeel Publishing where I went on to sell thousands of additional copies of two poetry collections.

I want you to know that I was finished with my collection years before I gained the confidence and the know-how to put myself out there. It was hard, but, to be honest, it was easier than I thought it would be.

I truly believe the world needs your poetry, your creative voice, and your authentic verse now more than ever.

I write every single day.

My Facebook & Instagram following is organic.

My social media is run by me.

I have more than a decade of corporate and entrepreneurial experience specializing in communications, Customer Lifecycle Management, and Digital Marketing experience.

I hold a Bachelor's in Journalism and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA).

I’ve been publishing on social media platforms and online publications for over twelve years.

I’ve been a 1:1 and group writing coach since 2010 and have reached thousands.

I write, speak, and host workshops for a living.

I am currently writing my third book.

Tanya Markul started writing when she was six years old. She used to scribble lines on top of lines and called it “poetry.” Early in life, she discovered emotional pain to be a sustainable resource for her work—and she hasn’t stopped writing since. Her themes explore heartache, loss, abandonment, rejection, and mental health. In her words, she writes for the “rejected ones” and to “revolutionize pain.” Her quotes, stories, poems, and prose have touched readers around the world. She hopes to be a source of inspiration and empowerment for years to come.
